Advanced Interventions & Treatment Options

I work with individuals who are living with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, chronic fatigue, sleep-related problems, and neurodiversity. My practice is especially suited to those who may not have responded fully to conventional treatments, or who are exploring more integrative and structured care options.

All patients undergo a comprehensive psychiatric assessment, which allows for an informed and structured understanding of your mental health presentation.

Treatment plans are carefully tailored and may include medication management alongside structured therapy or interventional options. I offer a range of advanced treatments, including:

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

TMS is a non-invasive treatment that uses focused magnetic pulses to stimulate brain areas associated with mood regulation. It is most commonly used in treatment-resistant depression, and is generally well tolerated.

Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS)

tDCS is a safe, non-invasive form of neuromodulation that uses low-intensity electrical currents to influence brain function. It may benefit individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, or cognitive symptoms.

Transcutaneous Vagus Nerve Stimulation (tVNS)

tVNS stimulates the vagus nerve via electrodes on the outer ear and may help with emotional regulation, resilience, and mood stabilisation. It is a promising intervention for individuals with treatment-resistant or stress-related presentations.

Intravenous Ketamine (IVK) Therapy

Ketamine-assisted therapy may be appropriate for patients with treatment-resistant mood or anxiety disorders. It is offered in a medically supervised setting, with proper screening, consent, and monitoring.

Home-Based Sleep Studies

Home-based sleep studies are a safe, non-invasive way to assess sleep apnoea and related concerns. This service includes overnight monitoring, CPAP titration, and specialist referral where needed.

Each service is delivered thoughtfully, with collaboration where needed to ensure continuity of care and clinical oversight.

A Holistic and Enactive Psychiatric Model

My approach draws on an enactive understanding of mental health, informed by neuroscience, philosophy, and lived experience.

This model attends to the embodied, enacted, experiential, and existential dimensions of distress — recognising that suffering is shaped not only by biology, but by how we move through the world, relate to others, and make meaning.

My practice is also a registered demonstration site for Sentiverse, a South African provider of neuromodulation therapies and wellness technologies. This affiliation enables access to a range of safe, evidence-based tools that support the broader treatment process.
